Double Chocolate Banana Bread

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup plant milk
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 cup coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 + 1/3 cup flour, spelt
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 handful dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius and line a loaf pan with baking paper.

  2. In a big bowl, mix together mashed bananas, plant milk, maple syrup, melted coconut oil and coconut blossom sugar.
  3. Combine the other ingredients in a seperate bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and combine them with a fork. Fold in dark chocolate chips at last.
  5. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Top with a sliced banana if you want.
  6. Bake for 60-75 minutes (test with a skewer!) and let it cool down in the pan.
